We are thrilled our second annual Walkabout was even more successful than the first! We saw around 500 people from every corner of San Diego in Kensington on April 14.

We showcased 30 Kensington and Talmadge businesses, and gave away tons of great prizes to attendees. Out of 155 total prize drawing entries we received, 36 attendees visited ALL 30 businesses!

The Kensington Talmadge Business Association’s second annual Spring Walkabout is a community-focused event that showcases Kensington and Talmadge businesses, both brick & mortar and home-based.

Businesses along Adams Avenue will have their doors open to the community. Home-based and off-Adams businesses will have tables in the park. Everyone is welcome to attend, and there’s no cost.

How it Works
Start by picking up a map and opportunity drawing entry card at the KTBA Booth in the park by the library on the day of the Walkabout.

Visit at least 6 Walkabout Sponsors (they will have flags to identify them, and be marked as sponsors on the map), have them initial your opportunity drawing entry card, and you’ll be entered to win multiple prizes. The more you visit, the more you win — you’ll get 1 entry for every 6 sponsors or businesses you visit! Visit all participants and you’ll be entered into our grand prize drawing!

Plus, post a photo tagged #ktbawalkabout on Facebook or Instagram and you’ll be automatically entered into another special drawing!

We’ll call or email you within a few days of the Walkabout if you win a prize.
