The June Mixer was co-hosted by Amanda Shelley of Just Us Medicare Solutions and Daniel Allen of Kensington Tech Coach at the Clubhouse of Kensington Park Villas, a little-known townhome community in north Kensington.
After socializing around the pond and pool with drinks in hand, attendees gathered for new member introductions and KTBA announcements. Amanda, a resident of Kensington Park Villas, provided a brief overview of the 35-acre gated community that features 145 townhomes and beautifully landscaped grounds and amenities. Many who came to the event had never been to the community or even known that it was located in Kensington’s backyard.
Daniel Allen then spoke about his many years experience in the tech sector and how he founded Kensington Tech Coach out of a need to provide a personalized technology service at a reasonable cost to locals that includes computer tune-ups, virus and malware removal, data backup and recovery, and much more. Daniel holds regular workshops in the community and is a great source for any tech-related challenges for local individuals or businesses.
Amanda Shelley spoke about her services as a health insurance broker specializing in Medicare, offering no-cost guidance to Medicare eligible individuals. She is licensed in California and certified to sell plans from over 11 private carriers, from Aetna to UnitedHealthcare, to help close the coverage and cost gap of Medicare.
Attendees enjoyed a spread of Vietnamese spring rolls from Goi Cuon in Hillcrest and Empanadas from Empanada Kitchen in North Park. Wine and sparkling beverages were also provided.
KTBA members had the option to arrive by foot or by car, either walking in through the gated pedestrian entrance at Bedford and Marlborough or driving in through the complex entrance off of Camino del Rio South.
The June Mixer, which fell on the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year, was attended by 22 members.
