Bench Home and Ponce’s Mexican Restaurant joined forces to co-host a wonderful KTBA Business Mixer on June 17 at 5:30PM.

26 KTBA members attended the event enjoying a catering pop-up by Ponce’s that included tacos cooked on site, flautas, quesadillas, margaritas, and a salsa bar. During the event, Bench offered attendees a 20% discount on all in-store items.

One of the benefits of these mixers is to hear directly from our members and learn more about their businesses.

What we learned about Ponce’s from Karen Barnett:

• Their Ponce’s Cares campaign has raised over $15,000 for 22 local organizations! They are always looking for a great San Diego non-profit to spotlight and support, just email karen@poncesrestaurant.com if you want to nominate a 501c3.
• Special promotion for KTBA members – Book a party with Ponce’s, now through January 2026, and receive a 15% discount! Whether it’s a private rental at the restaurant on a Sunday, a weekday lunch delivery for the office crew, or a backyard fiesta with their team grillin’ tacos and shakin’ up margaritas, they’ve got you covered! Just book by August 31, 2025 to lock it in!
• They have an incredible Happy Hour 2x per day, Monday to Thursday from 2-5 p.m. and 8-9 p.m.
• They are closed on Sunday.

What we learned about Bench Home from Helen Bonar:

• BENCH is an acronym for the names of her family members (she is the H).
• They have a gorgeous backyard space and are hosting a Summer Solstice party on Sunday, June 22nd 11-3 with mocktails and bites! Details below…
