Our first KTBA Mixer of 2024 was hosted by our friends at Mission Brewing who organized a wonderful evening on their heated back patio.

Attendees enjoyed a complimentary beverage of their choice – which in addition to their fantastic beer selection, includes their newly released Hard Cider, N/A Hopski, draft wine, and their Moscow Mule. Mission Brewing’s go-to partner, The Haven provided delicious pizza with vegetarian and gluten-free options.

After a beer-themed trivia challenge, Amanda Shelley, the KTBA President, shared announcements including the main focus for 2024 which is to foster greater community among our KTBA members. To support that aim, she announced “KTBA Social Hour,” a causal new meet up event for our members occurring every other month at a rotating Kensington-Talmadge bar/restaurant, the first of which will take place at Pappalecco on Wednesday, March 20th. She also encouraged members to pro-actively reach out to one another to find referral partners and to strengthen those relationships by connecting in person over coffee.

Mission Brewing’s team, led by CEO Dan Partelow, gave an illuminating presentation highlighting their history, brand evolution, and expansion to Kensington. VP of Sales, Aaron Long, spoke on Mission Brewing’s major distribution channels and growth and the importance of local community partnerships like that with KTBA. To close, Kensington Tap Room Manager, Johnny Dornette, spoke on the events held weekly at Mission Brewing including Music Bingo on Tuesdays, Trivia on Thursdays, as well as tours and events at their East Village Brewery location.
